Week5 - the secret door in my school leads to
It was a typical Tuesday afternoon, and the last class had just ended. As usual, I lingered in the library, enjoying the quiet. But something unusual caught my attention—a cool breeze drifted from behind the history shelves.
I walked over curiously. As my fingers brushed the wall, I felt a small gap. Gently, I pulled at the shelf’s edge, and to my astonishment, the entire bookshelf swung open like a door. My heart pounded. How had no one else discovered this?
I hesitated but stepped inside, using my phone’s flashlight. The door clicked shut behind me, leaving me in darkness. I walked cautiously, the air growing cooler as the tunnel walls turned rough and stony. Just as I considered turning back, the passage opened into something extraordinary.
I had stepped into a breathtaking world. Towering trees with golden leaves sparkled. The air smelled of fresh flowers and dew. The sky was soft lavender, with the sunset painting the distant mountains in brilliant reds and purples. A crystal-clear stream flowed nearby, lined with glowing flowers.
Suddenly, a tall, slender figure appeared. He had purple hair, pointed ears, and eyes that shimmered like moonlight. His robe glowed faintly, and behind him stood several others, their skin radiating soft pink light.
“Welcome, outsider,” he said gently. “You’ve found the secret door to the Elven Kingdom.”
I stood frozen, overwhelmed.
“For centuries, no human has entered our world,” he continued with a kind smile. “But do not fear—we know you are a friend.”
He introduced himself as Evis, guardian of the Elven Kingdom. Their world had once been connected to mine, but a curse had trapped them in an endless time loop. Only an outsider could help break it.
Evis explained that their life source, the ancient Tree of Life, was weakening. Without it, their world would collapse. The only hope was retrieving a lost magic stone to restore the tree’s power.
“You are the one we’ve been waiting for,” Evis said. “You can move between worlds. Will you accept this mission?”
Evis told me that before I arrived, every elder had once sacrificed themselves to nourish the Tree of Life. Once, an elder and a knight fell in love despite their different statuses. They fled to a distant village but returned when the tree began to die. The knight couldn’t bear to see her sacrifice herself. He reached into her chest, removing the Heart Stone—a sacred relic passed down through elders. Only one bound by love could take it.
The elder screamed, but he only smiled. “At least this time, I can stand in front of you…”
A blinding light flashed, and he turned to dust, merging with the tree’s roots. The elder clutched the Heart Stone, tears streaming. The tree had gained a brief reprieve, but the kingdom’s fate remained uncertain.
As I listened and saw the dwindling elves, I made my decision, I couldn’t let such sacrifices continue.
After much searching, we discovered the magic stone in an abandoned castle deep within the kingdom. It was surrounded by dark forces, and only I could pass through unharmed. Guided by the elves, I journeyed through enchanted forests and towering mountains until I reached the castle.
Inside, shadows twisted unnaturally, whispering eerie voices. My heart pounded. In the grand hall, I found the stone, a radiant golden purple gem, pulsing with energy. As soon as I touched it, warmth surged through me. Holding it tightly, I hurried back.
At the Tree of Life, I placed the stone at its roots. Instantly, golden light spread across the land. The sky brightened, trees shimmered, and the kingdom flourished.
Evis placed a hand on my shoulder, gratitude in his eyes. “You have saved our world.”
Though my mission was complete, I knew this wasn’t goodbye. The elves had become dear friends, and I continued visiting their world, cherishing its beauty and magic.
One day, as I prepared to leave, Evis smiled. “Some worlds must remain hidden to be protected.”
I understood. The secret door was not just a gateway, it was a promise.
Even now, whenever I pass that hidden corner in the library, I feel a gentle breeze and smile. The Elven Kingdom is always there, waiting for me to return.
